Frequently Asked Questions

Buying a Horse

What breeds does Iberian Sports Horses sell?

We specialise in Pure Raza Española (PRE), Lusitano, and Andalusian horses, along with other Iberian breeds selected for their conformation, temperament, and performance ability.

How much is the deposit to reserve a horse?

A €500 deposit is required to secure a horse and cover the cost of the veterinary inspection. This deposit is fully deducted from the final purchase price if you proceed with the sale.

What happens if I cancel after the vet check?

If you decide not to proceed with the purchase after the veterinary examination, the €500 deposit is forfeited to the seller.

How long do I have to pay the remaining balance?

The remaining balance must be paid within two days of approving the veterinary inspection results. No horse leaves the premises or transfers ownership until payment is cleared in full.

Do you arrange transport for horses sold internationally?

Yes. We organise national and international horse transport through experienced equine transport specialists, including travel planning, export documentation, and health certification guidance.

Do your horses come with an ANCCE passport?

Where applicable, ANCCE passport status is listed on each individual horse’s page. Not all horses are ANCCE registered — check the specific horse’s listing for details.

Training & Lessons

When are training lessons available?

Lessons run Wednesday and Saturday from 8:00–12:00, and Tuesday and Thursday from 17:00–21:00. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes.

How much do lessons cost?

Prices depend on whether you ride your own horse or one of ours, and whether you book individually or in a package. Full pricing is listed on our Training page.

Can I cancel or reschedule a lesson?

Yes, free of charge up to 48 hours before your lesson. After that, payment is still required unless another rider takes your slot.

How do I pay for a lesson?

Payment is made in cash after the lesson is completed.

What rider levels do you cater for?

We welcome riders from complete beginners (Level 1) through to experienced riders (Level 4). You’ll be asked your level when booking so we can match you appropriately.
